Features

Now, let’s delve into the key features of Thrive Theme Builder.

1. Site Wizard

Thrive Theme Builder is equipped with an impressive site wizard feature. Many theme builder tools lack this essential feature, which is why Thrive Theme Builder stands out to those who are not tech-savvy.

The process begins with the ‘Site Structure.’ You can upload a logo, and then choose a pre-designed header, followed by a footer. Next, you’ll select the homepage, which offers several options –

  • Choose from pre-made home pages.
  • Display one of your existing pages.
  • Show your blog as the homepage.
  • Proceed to the next step in the Site Wizard, which involves picking a Single Blog Post Template and the Blog Post List (Archives).
  • Afterward, you can select a template design for your page.
  • Finally, the Wizard will guide you through picking menus for the header and footer.

You’re all set! Your site is ready to launch.

For those who are not tech-savvy or business owners looking for a quick and easy way to get their site up and running, this is the perfect solution.

However, the more time you invest in using Thrive Theme Builder, the better you’ll become at customizing your site over time.

2. Branding

Up next is the branding feature.

Branding plays a crucial role in making your website or blog stand out. Many basic WordPress themes make it challenging to customize even simple elements like colors and backgrounds.

With Thrive Theme Builder, setting your theme colors and adding a dark and light version of your logo and a Favicon is a breeze with just a few clicks.

3. Typography

In the typography options section, you have the ability to create and modify your website’s fonts. You can adjust every aspect of your typography, including –

  • Headings
  • Paragraphs
  • Lists
  • Hyperlinks
  • Blockquotes
  • Plain text
  • Preformatted text

You can also select from a range of web-safe fonts and an extensive collection of Google fonts.

4. Templates

Templates are another key feature of Thrive Theme Builder. Here, you can organize all your theme’s templates in one place. Essentially, these are the pages you use on your site.

The Shapeshift theme, along with all others, includes important pre-made templates for you to use.

These templates can also be customized, or you can create your own from the ground up. The custom templates you make can be applied to various types of posts, pages, and list pages.

5. Template Editor

The template editor is where all the creativity happens.

Thrive Theme Builder’s visual editor combines the technology and ease of use of Thrive Architect. It includes all the necessary components and even more new features.

You can select any of the pre-made templates in your template manager to modify, or you can create your own.

Once more, if you’re already familiar with Thrive Architect’s plugin, navigating the Theme Builders editor will be a breeze. If you’re new to the software, it’s designed to be very user-friendly, and you’ll be able to get the hang of it in just a few hours.

On the right side of the screen, you’ll find your main tabs for accessing elements and blocks, as well as the style editor and reset button.

On the left side, there’s the edit options tab for each element. Depending on which element you choose, the design options will adjust accordingly.

Benefits

  • Friendly User Interface: Beautiful and free of clutter, with a simple-to-use interface.
  • Feature Packed: Thrive Theme Builder offers all the necessary tools and options to create a fully functional professional website or blog for your business.

  • Site Creation Wizard: A step-by-step guide to customizing global elements like the header, sidebar, etc.

  • Non-destructive design: The undo and redo features give you complete control over your design.
  • Dev Tools: Basic blocks for adding custom HTML, CSS, class, and ID.
  • Seamless workflow with other Thrive products: With Thrive Architect installed, you have full control and power over the overall design of your site, as well as the design and layout of your content.

Pros and Cons

Pros:

  • Brand new: Adding another website builder tool to my collection is always a delight.
  • Simple to use: This is essentially a theme builder that’s accessible to all. Those who are already familiar with Thrive Architect will find the Thrive Theme Builder to be straightforward. The Site Wizard is a standout feature that simplifies the setup process for new users. It only took me a couple of hours to become acquainted with all its features and options.
  • Easy to navigate: The user interface is outstanding. It’s designed to be intuitive, making it effortless to explore all the important options and features.
  • Ready for Thrive Architect: If you’ve got the Thrive Architect plugin installed, you can edit content using TA. It’s also advantageous to use some of the pre-made elements.
  • Quick and efficient: This exceeded my expectations. Maneuvering through the options and even using the template editor was incredibly fast. Customizing a WordPress site is incredibly enjoyable with this plugin!
  • Wide range of elements: Thrive Theme Builder offers everything you need to create your website. The four primary categories are filled with customizable components, and with the Thrive team’s dedication, they’re constantly adding new features.
  • Variety of templates: The initial page template library that comes with the Shapeshift theme is a great starting point. Additionally, you now have access to two more themes: Omni and Kwik.
  • Market potential: It’s only a matter of time before we see independent designers creating Thrive Theme Builder templates in large numbers. This is similar to what happened with Thrive Architect.
  • Excellent customer support: As a Thrive Themes customer since 2014, I’ve experienced firsthand the exceptional and knowledgeable support from their team.

Cons:

  • Limited theme selection: I wish there were more themes available in the future. Oxygen Builder and Elementor Pro excel in this area.
  • Limited options for sitewide layout changes:  I’m not sure about this one, but I couldn’t find a way to adjust the sitewide layout, such as changing page width or container width. I’ll have to look into this further and update this review as needed.
  • Not enough responsive design options: The plugin lacks sufficient breakpoints for mobile responsive design. It only covers basic screen sizes. I’d love to see more responsive menu design templates for mobile as well. Adding template elements for responsive menus would also be beneficial.
  • Challenges in building e-commerce sites:  While Thrive Theme Builder has all the necessary features for creating an online store, the process of integrating third-party payment plugins can be frustrating. WooCommerce is often used as a solution, but even their course-building plugin doesn’t include a shopping cart feature.
  • Potential for website performance issues: Thrive Theme Builder can slow down at times due to its extensive features and resources. If you’re using budget hosting, be cautious.

Price of Thrive Themes

The only way to access Thrive Theme Builder is to have the Thrive Suite subscription package. If you’d want to read my previous review of Thrive Suite, it’s available here.

The Thrive Suite’s price:

  • Thrive Suite Annually: $19 per month, with a $228 annual cost.
  • Thrive Suite: $30 per month, payable every three months at $90.00
  • Thrive Suite Agency: $49 per month, $588 per year

Why are these membership fees so high?

You have access to all of the Thrive Theme offerings, not just the Thrive Theme Builder. And regrettably, if all you want is the Theme Builder, you’re pretty much trapped because it can’t be purchased separately.

Why Use Thrive Themes?

To expand your business, you want far more than simply a WordPress theme. The fact that Thrive Themes is a complete software suite should be the one thing you remember the most from our assessment. With the tools you obtain, you can do business activities that would take an agency thousands of dollars to complete with ease.

Each tool comes with a plethora of customization possibilities that are equally impressive. The Theme Builder is similar to many other theme builders on the market if you simply purchase it. However, it’s difficult to find another conversion toolset that provides as much value at the same price when you take into account the complete ecosystem.

We’ll discuss why Thrive Themes is a great choice for small businesses in this review. However, the fact that this plugin was created by the same team that created other well-known WordPress plugins like WPForms, AIOSEO, MonsterInsights, OptinMonster, and even PushEngage, is among the main reasons to trust it.

A Complete Overview Of The Thrive Suite:

You will receive the whole Thrive Suite upon signing up with Thrive Themes. Thrive Theme Builder, their universal theme platform, is included in the suite. It also comes with a bunch of plug-ins that offer a ton of features designed especially for WordPress users who are online marketers.

Let’s examine each tool in their suite. Now let’s get going.

Builder for Thrive Theme

Beyond just a theme, Thrive Theme Builder is more. It’s a platform with themes. With Thrive Architect’s complete drag-and-drop editing, you can transform this one-themed platform into anything you desire.

Activating “skins” on the Theme Builder platform is how it functions. ShapeShift is the only skin that is currently available. They want to introduce more in the future.

UPDATE: Six companion themes with distinct purposes are now available with Thrive Theme Builder. Now, Shapeshift, Omni, Kwik, Bookwise, Jaya, and Xpert are who they are. It’s great to see them adding more choices.

A chameleon is Shapeshift. You may customize the visual interface by dragging and dropping elements to give your complete website the desired appearance and feel. They’ve done something very incredible with it.

I won’t be repeating myself here. I have previously written a thorough review of Thrive Theme Builder.

Thrive Theme Builder has only become better and better since I started using it. It is much more mature now. With WooCommerce, it functions. Furthermore, Thrive Apprentice has now hired the same visual designer (see below).

This isn’t a theme, then. It’s a platform with themes.

Theme Builder may be used to create almost anything you like.

But I want to make one thing very clear.

Who isn’t supposed to use Thrive Theme Builder? And even though I like the tool so much, why did I personally quit using it here at the Blog Marketing Academy?

This use case has been completely created.

A platform like Thrive Theme Builder will prove restrictive if you want to use LMS systems like LearnDash or desire BuddyBoss’ community capabilities. Theme Builder integrates beautifully with other products from Thrive. However, it isn’t particularly designed for special-purpose websites (such as membership sites with a strong community).

Theme Builder, however, is a sophisticated framework that unquestionably makes life simpler for the majority of blogs out there.

Architect Thrive

Screenshot of the Thrive Architect website

The core of their package is really Thrive Architect. It serves as the chief editor. All of your landing pages, opt-in forms, and other content will be created with Architect.

Since it is not our goal, I will not go into detail about Thrive Architect here. But here’s the main point:

You won’t need to know how to code since Thrive Architect will give you complete visual control over the appearance and feel of your website.

It’s just drag-and-drop. You only need to click on an element to change its attributes. “What you see is what you get” applies to everything.

It will take some getting used to, just like any program, but believe me when I say that it is far simpler to use than attempting to alter a theme the old-fashioned way by tinkering with CSS and PHP code.

You can be in control of the appearance and feel of your website using Architect without compromising on quality.

What is the difference between Architect and something like Elementor? Yes, it is a really good comparison.

Having said that, Elementor obviously outperforms Architect in terms of third-party integrations. However, Architect is a true powerhouse and, in my opinion, more simplified for daily use while working inside the Thrive Suite.

Thrive Optimize

Another plugin that basically adds on top of Thrive Architect is called Thrive Optimize. It allows conversion monitoring and comprehensive A/B split testing directly on your own website.

In case you are not familiar with split testing, it simply entails dividing your visitors between two distinct versions of the same page to see which converts more effectively. You test, determine which version works best, set that version as your default, and then repeat.

The secret to creating landing pages that convert really well is to continuously enhance them little by little over time.

Traditionally, it may be a little intimidating to put up a basic A/B split test. It’s integrated into some more costly software. Alternatively, you are left attempting to figure out how to use Google Analytics to build up an experiment. Furthermore, reading the Google documentation is, let’s say, not enjoyable.

With Thrive Optimize, you can set this up internally. It is really simple for non-techies to use and will handle everything.

Thrive Leads

The opt-in form management plugin is called Thrive Leads. It will be your tool for managing every opt-in form on your blog.

It may be used to add opt-in forms anywhere you want them. It will do split testing and performance measurements from within your WordPress website. It even simplifies the distribution of lead magnets.

The way the Thrive Suite features work together is something I find quite enjoyable. Therefore, with Thrive Architect, you can quickly (for example) drag and drop opt-in forms that you have developed in Leads into any blog article.

I put Thrive Leads up against OptinMonster, and Thrive Leads wins hands down. Having stated that,

It was a different story with Thrive Leads versus ConvertBox.

Though a hosted tool like ConvertBox is more feature-rich and easier to use, Thrive Leads is undoubtedly the best choice for WordPress users. And that’s why I made the transition. Nevertheless, Convertbox is more expensive. As a component of Thrive Suite, Thrive Leads is still among the best deals around.

UPDATE: The irony of it all is that Thrive Themes is now owned by the same business that owns OptinMonster. They now appear to have a stake in downplaying Thrive Leads. Time will tell, I suppose.

Thrive Ovation

As everyone knows, social proof such as testimonials plays a significant role in conversion. However, a lot of us make the error of failing to request testimonials.

Furthermore, where should we put one if we ever find one? How is it put to use?

Thrive Ovation is a manager of testimonials. It will enable you to:

Provide simple forms that you can use on your website to collect testimonials automatically.

let you handle and arrange testimonials directly within WordPress

Permit testimonials to be shown anywhere on your website with ease.

I have several references stored in my database. Testimonials are simple to drag and drop directly onto a landing page that I am building. With an Architect, everything is customizable. Testimonials can be chosen to display, or they can be displayed dynamically.

It is possible to build a fully automated system that collects testimonials automatically.

Thrive Ultimatum

Urgency is a crucial element in conversion. The deadline timer is also among the most traditional techniques for handling urgency. Thrive Ultimatum simplifies the use of urgency in your marketing.

You may have evergreen campaigns, repeating countdowns, or traditional deadline countdown clocks using Thrive Ultimatum. Let’s take an example where you wanted each new subscriber to have a unique deadline for an offer you were giving to them as soon as they signed up for your lead magnet. You may configure it using Ultimatum, and it will be fully enforced for each and every subscription (no fictitious scarcity).

The Thrive Ultimatum simplifies genuine scarcity. Everything works together to make it simple to place anywhere you choose. In a nutshell, it will raise your commissions and sales.

Undoubtedly, there are more options for countdown clocks besides Thrive Ultimatum. But as far as I’m concerned, it’s the greatest WordPress alternative out there right now.

Thrive Apprentice

Offering online classes is something you should consider doing, and Thrive Apprentice can help you become a successful company owner. It fully resolves the issue of how to set up and present online courses on your website.

Make stunning lesson plans, group them into chapters and modules, and offer comprehensive progress monitoring. It has a close interaction with SendOwl and works with all of the main membership site plugins. Naturally, I was quite aback by how much attention they paid to Sendowl, but it also interacts with Thrivecart, WooCommerce, and a number of other membership site plugins.

The fact that Apprentice will work with various themes is also awesome.

Similar to Theme Builder, Thrive Apprentice now has a comprehensive visual theme builder. It functions well with Theme Builder on its own. Because of this, Apprentice may be the most aesthetically pleasing and customizable online learning environment available. It is, in my opinion, rather revolutionary in that regard.

It is undoubtedly different from giants like LearnDash as a complete LMS. However, Apprentice will be effective for the majority of users.

Thrive Apprentice is a good option if you’re planning to start offering online courses (either as paid or even free ones to expand your list).

Thrive Quiz Builder

Online tests have grown in popularity as a social media viral marketing tool. They are also excellent tools for creating lists. You may segment your list and give them particular opt-ins based on their responses.

Quizzes have always had the drawback of requiring more expensive tools or specialized programming. For this, Thrive Themes offers a feature called Quiz Builder.

You may make very amazing online tests using Quiz Builder to boost your list-building efforts or merely to drive viral traffic. Depending on their responses, you may issue different calls to action to them. Surveys may be conducted via quizzes.

It’s really freaking amazing that they’ve created a mechanism to accomplish this within WordPress, to be honest. Personally, I have hand-coded items similar to this in

I could have saved literally days with Quiz Builder.

Thrive Headline Optimizer

The most crucial element of your whole blog article is the title. Furthermore, the majority of really knowledgeable content marketers split test blog post titles.

Admittedly, most of the time I don’t.

That is the precise function of Headline Optimizer. You may create many headlines for every blog article you produce, and Optimizer will split test them to see which one gets the most traffic.

What is the most clicked post headline? Which one increases the amount of interaction with the post? Use Headline Optimizer to find out.

In the Thrive Suite, this plugin is occasionally overlooked, despite its reasonable coolness.

Thrive Comments

The merits of blogging comments are a topic of discussion. Either way, there are arguments to be made. Nevertheless, shouldn’t it be considered part of your promotion if you plan to leave comments on our blog?

Essentially, Thrive Comments is meant to take the role of the built-in comments system. Not only does it offer far more functionality (such as upvoting), but it also incorporates comments into your conversion plan. If they leave a comment, you may ask them to do something like subscribe to your list or share the article.

Using Thrive Comments, you can use your blog comments as a promotional tool.

Thrive Automator

The most recent addition to the Thrive Suite is Thrive Automator. Although it comes with Thrive Suite, you may download it separately for free as a plugin.

Their much-needed endeavor to become more receptive to third-party integrations includes Thrive Automator. By putting up “smart automation,” it enables you to combine your website with a variety of other tools and services.

Consider it your WordPress website’s Zapier.

SureTriggers, Automator, and Uncanny Automator are some of the competitors. To compete, they offered Thrive Automator for free, hoping to entice more users into the Thrive ecosystem. I think that was a wise choice.

Why Purchase a Thrive Suite?

The advantages of owning Thrive Suite are numerous and would take an eternity to list.

However, we’ve condensed them into the following ideas:

1. Get Access to a Theme and Plugin Library Designed to Increase Conversions

If your website doesn’t persuade potential consumers to convert, what good is it? After all, that’s the ultimate objective!

You won’t be able to convert your viewers into enthusiastic subscribers and buyers if you don’t know how to build a simple, conversion-focused website.

You thus require Thrive Suite. We built our theme and plugin collection with conversion generation in mind. Each product is made to assist you in rapidly expanding your clientele and business.

2. Select From Hundreds of Templates to Quickly Create an Outstanding WordPress Website

To create the website of your dreams, you don’t need to know HTML, CSS, or any other coding language. With Thrive Suite, you can choose from hundreds of completely configurable, well-designed themes.

Actually, you may create an eye-catching website to captivate visitors and encourage them to make a purchase from your company. The finest aspect? Not a single line of code will need to be written by you.

Companion themes (Ommi, Shapeshift, Kwik, and Bookwise) created by experts are included with Thrive Theme Builder. These themes provide block layouts for every section of your website and pages that are optimized for conversion.

To choose every essential component of your website, including the header, footer, post templates, homepage template, sidebars, etc., use the Thrive Theme Builder Setup Wizard.

When combined with Thrive Architect, the greatest page builder plugin and the finest substitute for Divi and Elementor, you can create a one-of-a-kind website that will leave visitors with unforgettable impressions.

Additionally, you have access to even more templates to advance your website now that you purchased Thrive Suite:

Use Thrive Architect’s 350+ responsive landing page templates to create sales pages, funnels, eye-catching homepages, and more.

Our list-building plugin, Thrive Leads, offers more than 400 opt-in form layouts. Popup forms, slide-in forms, multi-step forms, and other forms are examples of form types.

Thrive Ovation offers dozens of testimonial display layouts.

Pre-designed templates are available in our other tools, such as Thrive Quiz Builder and Thrive Ultimatum, to help you get set up quickly.

You don’t have to worry about starting from scratch and hoping for a passable website. You may be sure you’ve created a fantastic website that your viewers will adore with our themes.

3. Coding is Not Necessary! Use Our Exceptionally Easy Drag-And-Drop Visual Editor to Create Your Website

“Zero coding required” really means that there is no coding involved.

Our drag-and-drop editor, the Thrive Visual Editor, helps you work more efficiently and launch your website more rapidly. We want you to be able to work more quickly and intelligently.

The following tools include the user-friendly drag-and-drop Visual Editor:

Thrive Architect

Thrive Theme Builder

Thrive Leads

Thrive Ovation

Thrive, Quiz Creator,

I used to create WordPress themes on my own. Even while my method was really speedy, it’s nothing compared to how quickly I can whip something up using Thrive. One other benefit of creating websites in this manner is that I do not have the whole control that comes with coding them, and that is a GOOD thing. Making your website pixel-perfect and pointlessly sophisticated is not what you should be concentrating on if your goal is to achieve results.

The major game-changer, in my opinion, has been Theme Builder. Previously, I attempted to create a website using a WYSIWYG plugin; but, the inability to modify several sections of my website has proven to be a deal-breaker for me.

You can quickly create links, save your work, and manipulate several page items at once with the Visual Editor’s keyboard shortcuts. That’s not all, though.

Read this tutorial to expedite your design in the Thrive Visual Editor if you’re new to Thrive Suite or haven’t had time to master any time-saving tricks.

4. Create the Online Learning Environment of Your Dreams

The only WordPress LMS plugin that offers you complete control over the look and feel of EVERY component of your online course is Thrive Apprentice.

User Reviews for Thrive Apprentice

This is the revolutionary platform for creating courses that will help you establish yourself as an industry expert. Very easy setup wizard will assist you in swiftly creating your lectures and course modules

You may regulate when and how your students receive your course modules with our flexible drip functionality.

Comprehensive reporting to assist you in improving your online course company through data-driven decision-making

Completely personalized course completion page to recognize your learners and entice them to purchase further courses

Beautiful, personalized certificates that are 100% customizable, verified, and simple to use…. and much more

Consider the price of a single, stand-alone LMS plugin or platform for producing courses. Now take a look at Thrive Apprentice, its features, and the fact that purchasing Thrive Suite gets you more than just one potent plugin.

You may use the other nine strong plugins to make the experience smooth and fun.

5. Convert Website Visitors Into Enthusiastic Subscribers Who Appreciate Your Work

You may use Thrive Quiz Builder and Thrive Comments, two plugins with separate features that work together to turn viewers into interested, paying customers if you purchase Thrive Suite.

Consider the WordPress comment area. It assists you in ensuring that the appropriate comments, rather than those that attempt to obstruct, appear on your blog articles and pages. That’s all, though.

By encouraging and rewarding your readers for sharing their opinions, Thrive Comments transforms your comments area into a hotbed of activity.

This plugin allows you to do a lot of things, including award first-time commentators and acknowledge regular commenters.

On the other hand, Thrive Quiz Builder is the ideal plugin for making captivating tests that your users will like.

This quiz-building plugin is ideal if you want to learn more about the interests of your audience and need a clean solution to create leads.
